President Morimura, former President Azuma, and Chairman Tomita of Community Alliance Committee visited Manzanar National Historic Site, a Japanese internment camp, with a delegation of 16 people including Deputy Consul General Yamaguchi from the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco on April 27th and 28th.

The tour was a good opportunity to rethink wide range of the history and the hardships of life at the camp. All members of the delegation fully realized the extreme hardships suffered by Japanese or Japanese Americans, and sincerely reaffirmed not to allow again such a tragic history and for this lesson not to fade with time. JCCNC would like to participate in the meaningful pilgrimage in order to encourage a lasting peace.
