Member Benefits
Membership benefits include Priority participation in various events listed below; expanding networks in the Bay Area and Northern California; access to the JCCNC membership directory, etc.
Seminars
Seminars are typically held on a monthly basis and feature a variety of topics including flying cars, the Silicon Valley ecosystem, sexual harassment prevention training, and corporate information management. Networking follows each seminar.
Annual Sacramento Visit
Every June, JCCNC sends a delegation to meet with legislators for the State of California. Concerns and questions are collected from members in advance to communicate with California legislators. A report on the annual Sacramento visit is distributed among members and posted to the website. JCCNC acts as a point of contact for government agencies and also cosponsors with JETRO a biennial survey among Japanese companies.
Support for California Driver’s License
JCCNC communicates directly with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to assist with driver’s license issues for employees of JCCNC member companies. We also support and act on the state bill to waive the DMV's written and driving test if you have the Japanese License.
Corporate Operations Café
This committee was established in 2016 to provide JCCNC member companies with a casual way to share and discuss common issues facing office administrations and learn best practices.
New Year’s Party
The committee organizes a New Year celebration and networking opportunity for over 500 participants annually. The evening entertainment includes a concert featuring renowned recording artists and a door prize raffle. In 2023, we invited Suga Shikao, and Natsukawa Rimi in 2024. Other past artists include Anri, Hideki Saijo, and violinist Taro Hakase. Tables may be purchased to invite customers. Generous member companies provide many wonderful prizes for door prize raffle.
Golf Tournament
JCCNC organizes an annual golf tournament for JCCNC member companies and their guests and is one of the largest held in Northern California with approximately 130 golfers each year. The tournament includes a door prize raffle with exciting prizes donated by member companies and closes with an award ceremony. Click here for an application form.
